we're one of those anti-agency agencies... or something like that.
yes, we are a digital agency (and that's always going to feel weird for us to say)
because we f**king hate digital agencies.
At least we did, back in the day when we were on the other side ourselves and had to hire them ourselves.
So we've put up their nonsense, then fired them, found another one, fired them, fired another one, rinse and repeat until eventually, we quit working with them and just would do the work we intended to hire the agency to do.
Lo and behold, lots of people hate working with digital agencies. And they started wanting us to work with them too. It was an intriguing idea... to build a digital agency that didn't suck. It seems easy to us, but there had to be a reason why it had never been done before.
And we've been doing this stuff since the 90's, so it's not like we weren't experienced. If anything, maybe we get a bit bored with the day-to-day things that most of those agencies do.
Maybe it's our passion for the latest technology advancements that we've had since those early days of the internet in college back in 1997.
Or maybe it's our ADHD.
Either way, that's why we don't offer those services as a standalone offering - unless we are working with you on a larger AI or digital transformation project. Then once that ends, if there is nothing else that you need us to solve for you, we'll keep doing those general digital things long enough to mentor and train a replacement that we trust will leave you in good hands.
Our founder was telling that to a client not too long ago, and she said to him, "you know... y'all could put every single digital agency out of business if you really wanted to."
Flattering, but that's not AT ALL what we want to do, let's just get that out in the open right away.
There is no way we would have time to work with everyone in the U.S. who needs a digital agency. We love our jobs, but that would be overwhelming.
Besides, what would all of those other digital marketing gurus do if we did do such a thing?
