Our founder and Chief AI Strategy Officer, Joseph Rozsa, has been building the digital foundation under strong businesses since before Google was a verb. Or even a company, for that matter.

That’s not just some random metaphor. Joseph started in digital, professionally, in 1997, when having a “website” was still a novelty for most businesses. Since then, Joe has led digital strategy, eCommerce, digital marketing and consumer product leadership roles for companies at every stage of growth.

In 2013, he led what was the largest Shopify Plus client at the time’, working closely with the founder and leadership team to help stress test the platform. Since then, he has served as Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and as a senior digital advisor for companies doing anywhere from $2M to $100M in revenue. And for the last three years, he’s been focused on AI and evaluating every tool — not watching from the sidelines, but testing use cases, implementing strategic plans, measuring what actually works and discovering what doesn’t.

Now leading his own digital solutions delivery agency, he has found the sweet spot that he is most passionate about. Joseph built vixxiv with one primary goal in mind – to deliver the engagement model he always wished existed when he was on the client side.

1995

Joseph built his first website while attending Miami University and fell in love with digital from Day One

Of course, there were no degrees or all that many books on the topic back then, so like most others, he taught himself.

1997

Turning Pro

After 4 years at Miami toward a political science degree that would never be used, Joseph left school early to accept a role in a different field.

Digital from Day One, Joseph started in digital strategy and web development during the first wave of eCommerce and the dot com boom.

2000s

Full-Stack Strategy

Expanded across digital marketing, brand strategy, and technology consulting for growing businesses.

2006

Launched DSW

Joseph was hired by footwear retail giant, DSW, to launch an eCommerce business entirely from scratch.

2013

Launched Harley-Davidson

Shortly after the wildly successful launch of DSW.com, Joseph was again hired to lead essentially an eCommerce start-up at a 110-year old company, Harley-Davidson. The site launched in April 2013 and has been king of the road ever since.

2014

Shopify at Scale

Led one of the largest Shopify Plus implementations of its time, as VP of eCommerce and Consumer Products for theChive.com. Shopify platform expertise since before it was mainstream.

2020s

Founder/Executive Digital Leadership

Joseph launched his small agency and transitioned into more of a senior strategic advisory role, serving as a digital executive to help guide multiple established businesses.

2022–Present

Nearly four years of focused AI experience, tool assessment and implementation. Hands-on experience, not theoretical.

2025

vixxiv is born

With the name change from the previous business to better reflect the skills and services that we provide. Founded vixxiv to deliver the engagement model he always wished existed when he was on the client side.

It should feel different to work with vixxiv, and that is very much intentional.

We charge fixed prices for defined outcomes.

We don’t bill by the hour, because we’ve worked at agencies in the past where the team spends most of their hours trying to track, justify, and argue over, how many hours were spent. That’s money not being spent on the project.

We won’t sugarcoat what we find.

We know you’re not reaching out to us because things are operationally perfect. You deserve honest answers, and that is exactly what you’ll get. Every time.

People shouldn’t call themselves a fractional CMO if they’ve never been an unfractional CMO.

We know you care more about skills and expertise than the pretentious titles that some people give themselves. Joseph has held the titles and has done the work. And EVERY vixxiv engagement is led by him personally.

We never recommend tools we wouldn’t use ourselves.

We don’t push platforms because of partnership revenue sharing or affiliate commissions. We recommend what works and what will work for you, period. Interestingly, we’ve found that that actually seems to lead to higher revenues.

We think it’s a little hypocritical to advise entrepreneurs if you’ve never been one.
